The New Orleans Ministry is Seeking Volunteers for the St. Bernards Project October 5-11 Womens Build Week!
What is Women’s Rebuild Week?
Women’s Rebuild Week is an annual event hosted by the St. Bernard Project with the dual goals of: 1) highlighting the enduring need for volunteer rebuilding in St. Bernard Parish and the Greater New Orleans area; and 2) encouraging women to participate in the rebuilding of the greater New Orleans area. During the week, 250 women volunteers will help rebuild 25 families’ homes. Individuals, groups and families are encouraged to volunteer.
What if I don't have any construction skills?
Don't worry, the staff at St. Bernards Project will train you! We've worked with lots of unskilled and skilled volunteers.
See Last Year's Trip Reflections on the About Us Page.
If you are interested in participating in our next trip to help rebuild homes in St. Bernard Parish, please contact Margie Rightmyer in the parish office at 201-327-1313, ext. 40 or by email mrightmyer@churchofpresentation.org. If you have special skills in home improvements (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.) please indicate your talents. Although experience is not necessary it can be extremely beneficial.
